Meet Rob Meier, DPT
Rob is a staff physical therapist who treats patients in our Penn Hills office. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Chatham University in 2018. He is also a graduate of the Kinesiology-Movement Science program at the Pennsylvania State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in 2016.
While at Penn State, he designed and conducted a randomized control trial to determine the effectiveness of myofascial release prior to exercise as compared to static stretching and dynamic warm-up interventions. For his unique findings, Rob received second place for his poster presentation from the Health and Human Development Department in 2016.
Rob specializes in treating individuals with neurological impairments and dysfunctions, in addition to treating individuals with orthopedic injuries. He is passionate about holistic treatment focusing on physical and cognitive impairments throughout his sessions if necessary. Rob strongly believes it is important to treat the person as an individual instead of focusing solely on the impairment.
Rob was born and raised in Penn Township where he graduated from Penn Trafford High School in 2008. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy where served in Japan and Qatar as a member of the intelligence community. In his spare time, he enjoys strength and cardiovascular endurance training, walking with his dogs, golfing, and watching Pittsburgh sports.
