Meet Cassandra Anderson, PTA
Cassie of East Suburban Sports Medicine earned her Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) degree from the Community College of Allegheny County. She has been on staff since 2014, even continuing to work as a PT Technician throughout PTA school. She then transitioned into the role of a Physical Therapy Assistant upon graduation in 2017. Before receiving her degree from CCAC, she graduated from Robert Morris University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
She is now an active staff member at ESSMC Plum and Penn Hills. Cassie’s professional interests include orthopedic and post-surgical patients, sports-related injuries, and generally working to improve patient’s quality of living. Outside of ESSMC, she is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
In her free time, she coaches cheerleading at Rain Athletics and participates in teaching athletes (both with and without disabilities) all aspects of cheerleading. She also enjoys all aspects of fitness including cycling and kickboxing; and like so many fellow ESSMC staff members, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
