Allison Wade of East Suburban Sports Medicine is a registered dietitian working at ESSMC Murrysville. She holds Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Pittsburgh in Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition. She completed her dietetic residency at the VA Healthcare System in Pittsburgh. In addition, Allison is a certified specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD).
After graduation, she continued working for the VA Healthcare System as an outpatient dietitian, providing medical nutrition therapy and diet counseling to veterans and their families. She has also worked with various other community organizations (such as the YMCA) by providing food demonstrations, lunch and learn presentations, and one-on-one nutrition consultations. Allison also works with a variety of sports teams providing fueling strategies, hydration guidelines, and idea for easy on the go meals for busy athletes.
In addition to practicing with our East Suburban practice, Allison is currently providing nutrition counseling for Case Specific Nutrition in an intimate office setting or providing virtual appointments. She focuses on topics including (but not limited to) diabetes, weight management, hyperlipidemia, sports nutrition, and digestive disorders.
