Hi there! I’m Dr. Gretchen. I live on the peak of Pittsburgh, PA; Mt. Washington with my husband. I enjoy all the foodie activities including baking, cooking new recipes for my cookbook, and going to new restaurants. Being at my family’s farm is my sanctuary where I love gardening, the smell of fresh cut grass and believe it or not…farm chores! I am a yogi at heart with a love for art and passion for holistic wellness.
When I started my career path in becoming a physical therapist, I questioned whether it was the right choice for me or not. I had been exposed to many practices where productivity was the only importance and quality of care suffered. I didn’t like what I saw and I didn’t believe I could be at that standard, nor did I want to be. It wasn’t until I took a women’s health class in PT school that I started to become interested in pelvic floor health and it opened my eyes up to more holistic ways that shaped my practice. I have 5+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist and have taken additional coursework in pelvic health, visceral manipulation, and received certification as a lymphatic therapist.
It is important to me to help women connect with themselves on a deeper level in their wellness journey. Making it possible for individuals with even the busiest of schedules to feel empowered and to confidently handle whatever ailments they are experiencing. I believe in nourishing the body with movement to eliminate pelvic pain, bowel, and bladder distress, and improve total body strength, as well as increase self-love and confidence along the way.
